Building on feedback from the 2025 event, we have introduced a new route, providing greater flexibility for all ages and abilities. Gravel Fondo Cymru is held in the spectacular Crychan Forest, near Llandovery in Carmarthenshire.

At Gravel Fondo Cymru, we bring the same experience and attention to detail that riders have come to expect from our other flagship events, Battle on the Beach and Gritfest.
With years of organising some of the UK’s most popular off-road cycling events, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality courses, a welcoming atmosphere, and a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.
The Beicio Cymru (Welsh Cycling) Gravel Championships is an open event so that non-Welsh-eligible riders can enter. Riders do not need to be British Cycling members to take part.
However, riders must meet at least one of the eligibility criteria listed below in order to be eligible for the Welsh Championship title and medals. The Welsh Eligibility Criteria for the Beicio Cymru National Championship are:
- Be a member of British Cycling
- Rider to have been born in Wales or whose parents’ principal place of domicile was in Wales
- Rider to be the son or daughter of a person born in Wales
- Rider to have resided in Wales for 3 years consecutively prior to the date of the Championship
- Riders must enter at least 7 days before the event to be eligible.
